A divided society is a place which inhabits a cultural divide. Whether this be the cause of politics, race, religion or sectarianism. Cultural divides are present all over the world and within each one lies a plethora of individual stories to be told.
’Divide’ is a risograph print series communicating the individual stories of growing up in Derry, a town torn apart by the violence of the troubles. What links these people is their perosnal connection with me, the artist. Drawing from this ‘Divide’ has became a series of personal stories through how I perceive the personalities of each individual.
